    Quote of the day....

....and it's not a happy one, yet I fear it to be true of our nation.

    DSC_4362

“Friend, you cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. And what one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government can’t give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody. And when half of the people get the idea they don’t have to work because the other half’s going to take care of them, and when the other half get the idea it does no good to work because somebody’s going to get what I work for. That, dear friend, is about the end of any nation.”-Adrian RogersTo hear the entire message.

    Grace by Laura Story

I normally don't post videos, but this song has meant so much to me lately I thought I would share it here. I hope it blesses you too.

  • My poor Darlin' broke her leg :-(

    DSC_4333

My poor darlin' fell off her scooter when it hit a dirt clot Tuesday morning, twisted her leg up under her in the fall and broke her sweet little leg!  After several hours spent in Urgent Care she came home with a temporary splint. Spent a painful, sleepless night at home. Then next morning she was able to have the leg casted (it goes all the way up her thigh). It's a lovely blue & pink striped cast that looks alot like an oversized stocking!

She has been in alot of pain, but she is such a little trooper and has the best attitude.  Pray for her, she is still in alot of pain as it is a spiral brake (very, very painful) starting down by the ankle and twisting up the shin bone.  It entered the growth plate inside the bone,  so pray that it will heal properly so she won't have trouble with it as she grows.

Daddy bought her a little game (20 Questions) to help keep her busy while she is off her feet.

So Emily tried to get the game to guess a "Cast" (as in what's on her leg) after asking 20 questions it guessed a "Fire Hydrant" (since then she has tried to get it to guess Cast and it's guessed a "Traffic light", "sidewalk", and "chimney". She says sometimes it feels like all of the above!)

Since E is bedridden we enjoyed a family movie night (with homemade Coconut ice cream w/strawberries) in her bedroom!  Sooo much fun!

About Me

  • I am the eldest of 7 children(of which one is in heaven). First of all I love my gracious heavenly Father who looked down on a little seven year old girl and granted her salvation, put a love and desire for Him in her heart and leads her day by day. Through the green pastures, beside still waters, even through the deepest darkest valley in her life, loosing her brother. He is always there, sometimes walking beside her, other times holding her in His everlasting arms, where she shall never be moved. Other interest include cooking/baking, sewing, farm life, travel, enjoying my siblings, camping gardening, chasing cows, watching sunsets, singing HIS praises(soprano!), taking walks, and ENJOYING LIFE! My consuming hobby right now is photography and learning to use this passion to further the gospel and glorify God. I LOVE my Nikon D80! I have taken 2 photography classes (thus far :-) PWP I&II and LOVED them!!!!!!!!!!!

  • My purpose. My mission. Unto my God!

TO GOD BE THE GLORY, GREAT THINGS HE HATH DONE! This site has two purposes that I hope to unite, my faith and my photography! I pray that the Lord will use my images and journaling to draw you closer to Himself. The Lord is the one who inspires me, I could do none of this on my own... Sola Dia Gloria
